Safety over discomfort

Throughout this pandemic situation there has been a blatant disregard for the CDC’s guidelines regarding the usage of masks, gloves, and the importance of social distancing. Complaints have risen regarding the usage of masks because people have deemed them to be “uncomfortable” or state that they feel as if they “can’t breathe”. The problem with this is people are failing to realize that the mask isn’t meant to be comfortable it’s meant to help protect you. With the mask however PROPER wear is essential in order for the mask to serve it’s purpose otherwise it’s pointless, this means the mask must be OVER your nose in order to cover your mouth and your nose. Regarding social distancing, despite those saying “oh well we’re young so we’ll be fine”, yes sure YOU might be fine but your parents and grandparents and those you come in contact with might not be so lucky. Risking your life is one thing but risking the lives of others is another.
