Hunter High Spirit Week 2024

Get excited Hunter, next week is Spirit Week! The overall school theme chosen is Nintendo, and there is corresponding themes for each of our classes. The Freshman theme is Sonic, the Sophomore theme is Pokemon, the Junior theme is Wii Sports, and the Senior theme is Super Mario. Our SBO’s and class officers have a lot to do in preparation for our Spirit Bowl, and they are asking for our help to make hallway decorations through the 14th of this month. They are also offering rewards to volunteers who help for a certain amount of hours. The rewards vary for each class, as well as where your help is needed;

Freshman: Meet in lower C Hall at 2:30, 10 hours of help gets you a free class T-Shirt.

Sophomores: Meet in C-Hall at 2:30, 10 hours of help gets you a free Hunter High 226 shirt.

Juniors: Meet in B Hall at 2:30, 5 hours of help gets you a free class T-Shirt, and 10 hours of work gets you your own personalized Mii to be hung up in the hallway.

Seniors: Meet in B Hall at 2:30, 10 hours of help gets you a free class shirt.

About the Contributor
Samantha Sorensen, Staff Writer
Hi! My name is Samantha Sorensen and I am a sophomore at Hunter High School. Some things I like to do for fun are hang out with friends and family, watch movies, and go shopping. My interest for journalism started when I took a speech and debate class during my freshman year of high school. I discovered that I like arguing a point and trying to make a change, but I didn't like the competition. I feel that because of this, Journalism is a better fit for me, because I can write influential stories and prove a point but without the competition and arguing, and so far I am really enjoying this class. This school year I am looking forward to meeting new people and learning new things, and I am hoping to broaden my horizons in journalism.
