Basketball season at Hunter high school has started! On December 4, 2019 the freshman basketball played their first game of the season and it was a home game. The boys varsity team played against mountain ridge on November 26th. But before that there was a meet the team day where people can buy tickets to see who is on the team. The freshman team last Wednesday won against Hillcrest high school and it was a home game. According to Gordon Wheeler #42 who plays for the freshman and sophomore team, “The game was great. My shooting was great and I could do better on my defense.” Then last week Thursday through Saturday the team traveled to Nevada to compete against other schools. The freshman team and sophomore team won. For the night they stayed at a hotel. Then when they competed against the schools they arrived back on Saturday at 11:00 PM. Then there is the girls basketball team who went against Toolele high school and it was an away game. Mid game they took the lead 29 to 5. Then they won the game and took the win for Hunter. This is a great way to start the season. With both boys and girls basketball team taking the win.
