4 or so inches of snow is sufficient for skiing, but what about 200 inches? 200 inches makes for good, smooth skiing, considering this way all of the bumps of the terrain under the snow are smoothed out. Last year, Alta reached 640 inches of snow, so 200 doesn’t compare very much, however, there may be more to come. Regardless, now is a great time to ski, so pack some ski gear and get skiing.
