Ramon Fonseca, Staff Writer
Who am I? My name is Ramon Fonseca and I’m a junior at Hunter High School. I’m 17 years old and I’m one year away from being an adult. That means I have one year left of high school. That’s crazy. I like to play video games. I don’t have any hobbies right now but I’m looking for one. My favorite book is The House on Mango Street. I remember enjoying the book a lot. I read it in my 10th grade English class. One more important thing, you’ll find me to be quite quiet. I’m not much of a talker. Yup that’s who I am. It’s not much but it’s something.
What do I hope to take from this class? The name of this class is journalism and I don’t know what I’ll be learning in this class. I’m assuming we’ll be learning on how to write articles. I wonder if this class is basically English because what we do in this class is write [like every other English class.] Oh well, this class is interesting. There are a lot of nice people in this class; hopefully they’re respectful people.
How will I be successful in journalism? Everything in journalism class is done on the computer. I say it’s good because I can work on the articles anytime and anywhere I want. That’s why I’ve been doing so well this year. I can work on the articles anytime and anywhere: on my phone or on the Chromebook. I hope this class is fair. What do I mean by that? Hopefully the grading isn’t strict like in some of my classes.
