The weather updates

The weather is just getting worse as we get farther into January. It is like we’re still in December but it snowed on Christmas and weather-wise our Christmas was just like another boring Monday. This morning, January 17, it was covered with a fresh new layer of snow as it snowed all night the night before and started snowing again later in the day today. It looks like it will be like last year and the snow will last through March and maybe April.

Unfortunately, it is supposed to snow again on Sunday and Tuesday along with rain, too. It is only going to make getting to places for the students harder, school specifically, and make it even more dangerous for the students who drive too since this might be the worst winter for the roads for them.

The new highway West Davis Corridor is getting hammered and it cuts through some people’s backyards, which makes it even more dangerous with the snow because if someone crashes on that highway they’ll slide right into someone’s yard. Plus the hills of dirt by the highway are blocking some people’s houses and are covered in snow now, which goes right into those people’s yards and it’s not at all like those people had a choice in the highway anyway [so they’re basically screwed with the snow and the highway.] Just the highway alone probably drops their house prices a lot because really who wants to live right behind or in front of the highway. Some people even got kicked out of their homes so the highway could be built.
