Christmas light shows

Christmas can be so exciting in so many different ways. Personally, for me, I get excited to see all the Christmas lights/decorations and to decorate my own home. I want to share a list of some of the Christmas lights drives here in West Valley, Magna, Taylorsville, and West Jordan you can visit with your family.

My personal favorite is Christmas Street in Magna. This is an entire street that is decorated, you can drive by slowly or park your car and walk around. Location: Miracle Cove Drive, Magna ( about 3100 S 7325 W).

Another one is the Mesa Garden Holiday lights. This is more of a show that has about 15 songs that match the lights and patterns. You just have to go on 107.7 FM on the radio station. The meaningful dedication behind this house is dedicated to their granddaughter who is battling cancer so they do have a donation box. Location: 3547 S Mesa Garden Circle, Magna.

A very unique one located in West Valley is Whoville. They cover their house for it to look like the original Whoville house from the Grinch movie. Located: 4249 S 6485 W, West Valley City.

Another Christmas street in Taylorsville. This is focused on the “Twas the Night Before Christmas” poem each house shows a part of the poem as well as Christmas lights. Location: about 3300 Royalwood, Taylorsville.

Larson Family light show. This is a light show that works together with the music and lights music playing on 87.9 FM Location: 2305 7095 S, West Jordan.

If you have no plans this Christmas break or have just been wanting to go see Christmas lights with your family/ friends and want a cheaper option Enjoy this list.

Brenda Hernandez, Staff Writer
My name is Brenda. I am a senior here at Hunter High School. This is my second year attending Hunter. I attended Cyprus for my freshman and sophomore year. I'm looking forward to graduating and continuing school to get an associate's degree in medical sonography. Some of my favorite things to do include being with my family, reading, drawing and painting, doing my makeup, and being with my little sister. I've always been into writing and reading. English has always been my favorite subject in school. I've always liked reading the stories we get assigned or writing assignments and that is why I took journalism. One thing I wish for is to get to know more by the end of the year; more about what journalism is about and making sure the people who are interested in it take it.
