The month of November starting at school means new activities, breaks, and exciting news. At the beginning of this month, we will start off with College Application Week which goes from November 6-10. All seniors will be applying for colleges during their English classes.

On Monday, November 13, the Multicultural Assembly sign-up deadline. So if you want to participate in the assembly make sure to sign up by November 13. The Multicultural Assembly tryouts will take place on November 15 and 16 in the dance room after school.

“The Little Mermaid” musical will be shown November 16, 17, 18, and, 20 at 7 PM, plus November 18 at 2 PM is the sensory-friendly matinee. Tickets will be sold at the door and online. Don’t miss out, this is such a great musical.

Thanksgiving Break will be from November 22-24 and we will be back to school November 27.

My name is Brenda. I am a senior here at Hunter High School. This is my second year attending Hunter. I attended Cyprus for my freshman and sophomore year. I'm looking forward to graduating and continuing school to get an associate's degree in medical sonography. Some of my favorite things to do include being with my family, reading, drawing and painting, doing my makeup, and being with my little sister. I've always been into writing and reading. English has always been my favorite subject in school. I've always liked reading the stories we get assigned or writing assignments and that is why I took journalism. One thing I wish for is to get to know more by the end of the year; more about what journalism is about and making sure the people who are interested in it take it.
