Loading ...Happy October. So many new important things happening this month. Our first term ends the week of October 9. Most teachers’ deadline was October 6 and grades should be finalized by Monday, October 16. Fall break this year is Thursday, October 12, and Friday, October 13 and we have a student recess day Monday, October 16. October 23-27 is Make-A-Wish week. There will be lots of fun activities this week for all students. Monday, October 23 will be Make-A-Wish tie dye, Tuesday, October 24 will be cookie decorating, Wednesday, October 25 will be pizza and pool party, Thursday, October 26 is Halloween Bash and Friday, October 27 is our Make-A-Wish assembly. October is also the sophomore month to do their CCR meetings with their counselors. Remember to keep up with assignments so you don’t fall back and do everything last minute. Have an awesome Fall Break.

My name is Brenda. I am a senior here at Hunter High School. This is my second year attending Hunter. I attended Cyprus for my freshman and sophomore year. I'm looking forward to graduating and continuing school to get an associate's degree in medical sonography. Some of my favorite things to do include being with my family, reading, drawing and painting, doing my makeup, and being with my little sister.
I've always been into writing and reading. English has always been my favorite subject in school. I've always liked reading the stories we get assigned or writing assignments and that is why I took journalism. One thing I wish for is to get to know more by the end of the year; more about what journalism is about and making sure the people who are interested in it take it.
