Athlete spotlights all around

Sports

School has been going on for about a month now so that means that sports have been going on for even longer, as may begin before school officially begins. Every year sports teams have some type of spotlight for our Hunter athletes. The most common student spotlights will be “Senior Spotlights” for all our graduating students. Our sports teams have already started with amazing senior outcomes this year.

I personally love that they do this because the students who have worked hard to get their spot on the team will be recognized. Being recognized makes athletes feel important, special, and a really big part of the team. It shows off their skills and hard work. Usually what teams will do is they will post the student spotlights on their social media.

For Hunter, I usually see student spotlights on Instagram, and hhsoccer.girls is the official Hunter Girls soccer page that recently just had their senior night and posted all 2024 graduating seniors. @hhs_volleyball_ is the official Hunter volleyball page who show off all students, post-game highlights, and spotlights. @hunterhighcheer has birthday spotlights all year long as well as @hunterdanceco. And so many more! Make sure to follow to support all of our awesome Hunter High athletes. Go Wolverines.

About the Contributor
Brenda Hernandez, Staff Writer
My name is Brenda. I am a senior here at Hunter High School. This is my second year attending Hunter. I attended Cyprus for my freshman and sophomore year. I'm looking forward to graduating and continuing school to get an associate's degree in medical sonography. Some of my favorite things to do include being with my family, reading, drawing and painting, doing my makeup, and being with my little sister. I've always been into writing and reading. English has always been my favorite subject in school. I've always liked reading the stories we get assigned or writing assignments and that is why I took journalism. One thing I wish for is to get to know more by the end of the year; more about what journalism is about and making sure the people who are interested in it take it.
