Tips for studying

School can be difficult as it is, but with all the upcoming tests and exams, you may spend a lot of time studying. However, it can be difficult to find a type of studying that works for you. Some things that may help is being in a quiet area if possible, or playing light music. Also, stay organized so that you do not become too overwhelmed, and you know everything that you have to do. Some people find having study group with friends, or after school to be helpful become an upcoming test. Make sure to take breaks and have small snacks to keep your brain awake and not overwork yourself too much.

Some students may find it helpful if the teachers give them study tips as well. The teachers should provide material that would be helpful for the test, and give them some studying techniques. A Hunter High student states “Studying would be easier if we knew the exact questions and answers to study. We need to know exactly what we are being tested on and the material needed.” However, not all teachers would provide this, so you may just need to take notes in class and highlight the important ideas. Then, before a test go back over your notes and find what you don’t know as well and write those down. This will also help you remember these things and it can make you further understand them if you search up more about it. Remember to study for your upcoming tests, as it will make things easier for you in the future.
