Update on Hunter JV baseball

Kaydence Richens

If you didn’t read my last post about Hunter Wolverines JV baseball team playing last night, here is a refresher. Our JV team hosted their last game yesterday against Hillcrest at 3:30 PM. They ended the game with 5-4 and brought home the win. It was such a good game to watch. It took an all in all battle, and so much effort from every single person on the team, but they never gave up.

Seeing so much excitement on all of their faces was amazing. They played one heck of a season and I could not be more proud of each person’s effort, especially for ending the season the way they did. They had a few ups and downs, a few games they didn’t play their best and a few games where they lost. In the end, though it all depended on how they felt, how much fun they had and how it brought them together as a team, they kept fighting.

These boys should be very proud of each other plus themselves for not giving up, and for fighting even when they didn’t have the motivation to. They never got down on each other, they always stayed a team and when one player was down on themselves for something, the rest of them picked that person right back up. No matter win or lose they stayed a team, and that’s what matters most. I mean, you can’t play well together if you’re out bashing on one another or thinking negatively. So way to go Wolverines baseball team for sticking together and ending the season so great.

Now we just have to sit around and wait for summer baseball to come around, so they can show us that their dedication never stops. Their love for the game continues, and our love for watching them does too. Let’s go Wolverines.
