Hunter’s cheer team for 2018-2019 school year

Kaydence Richens, staff writer

Are you interested in being a Hunter High cheerleader for this up coming school year? Well here is your chance. On March 7 in the library there was a mandatory parents meeting where they talked about what was expected for cheer and gave out a packet that is needed to be turned in on Friday, March 16th in room B206. March 14 at 6:00 p.m. there is a cheer clinic in the gym.

After the packet is turned in the coaches look through it. Sunday, March 18th the coaches will email you whether or not you are eligible to tryout this next week. Tuesday March 20 and Wednesday March 21 there are workshops, which will help you know what you will need in order to tryout.Thursday, March 22 there will be a spirit tryout, which is an open tryout where family and or friends can come and support you (some cuts may be made at the end of the night).

The final tryout is Friday, March 23. This is a closed tryout and second cuts will be made. Whether you make the team or not, stay respectful and confident. At the end of the night, remember your worth, making the team and/or not making the team doesn’t change who you are as a person. Take the coaches advice, practice what they say and try again next year. If it is really your passion to become a Hunter High cheer leader, never give up. Always push for your dreams no matter what. Don’t let anybody kill the vibe you have for loving to do what you do.
