AP classes compared to honors classes

I know the thought of taking AP classes is scary but hardest part are the tests. There is however a lot of homework. As long as you study hard and try hard on the tests you will do fine. Make sure you get all your work done and try your best when taking the tests and quizzes and you will have nothing to worry about. There is an option to do the reminder text messages and it is a good idea to sign up for them because it will inform you when quizzes are opened and when they will close, along with reminders for the chapter test. If you get a C in AP it is like getting an A in an honors class. If you get anything higher than a C it is like getting a A++ in an honors class.AP classes do give you 3 college credits if you pass the end of year/final test with a score of a 3 or higher.

If you want harder classes rather than the regular classes because the regular classes are too easy,  an honors class is a good option.  Do not feel obligated to take an honors or AP class if you think it would be too hard because it is better to take an easier class and pass than to take a hard class and fail, not to discourage you from taking harder classes though.

Colleges look at the courses you took and your GPA, so if you take a regular class and get an A that is good although not as good as taking AP for example and getting a B. If you think that an AP class would be too hard or it is in a subject you are not as comfortable in but you feel like you need something more challenging honors classes are a perfect choice.

No matter the classes you take you need to remember that even if it is an easy class you need to try you best because the classes will only get harder each year. Another reason you should always try your best is because you never know when you are going to decide that regular classes are too easy and you want to take an AP or honors class, plus your classes could all of a sudden get harder and because you were not trying you could end up lost extremely quick.
