Following up on the UVU field trip Thursday, November 16, my friends and I went on this college field trip that is sponsored by Gear Up. This field trip was optional, it was the student’s decision to go and experience what life could be like at Utah Valley University. We left the school at 4:00 PM and got to UVU around 5:00 PM, so about an hour. As soon as we walked into the university we were welcomed by lots of ambassadors, students, and professors. It was very welcoming and it made me feel grateful to be there. This was now my second time being on a field trip to UVU, and I started to feel even more excited by the opportunities to expand my knowledge. Many other students felt the same way, we talked about how we picture ourselves going to that college.
The main event was very well set up. It was organized by each major having their own table, and each table had students and professors to answer questions and tell the overall information of that major. Not only did they have tables for the majors, but they also had tables for housing options, scholarships, and even admissions. I personally went to almost all the tables and my friends and I got all of our questions answered. It was a great experience overall.
