This weekend leading into this week, November 18-20, Utah endured one of its first winter storms, producing snowfall, cold temperatures, high wind speeds, and rain. It is expected that mountainous ranges will receive about 11-14 inches of snowfall on average, though an absolute maximum of 24 inches in some areas is possible. Valleys are only expected to receive a few inches of snowfall. Several natural hazard warnings have been issued as a result of the storm, such as Flash Flood Warnings in Kane and Washington County, High Wind Warnings near the Great Salt Lake, and Winter Storm Warnings across the state. Check local news or your weather app for possible warnings in your area.
