Being one time to school and to your classes matters. During the month of November, Hunter High started an “Attendance Contest” where you can’t have any absences, or unexcused absences. With that, the school also started a “Hall Sweep.” The attendance contest will have six winners each week. Nice. You will be able to win a ten-dollar gift card from Black Bear, Canes, Jimmy John’s, McDonald’s, Wendy’s, or Chick-fil-A. The cool and nice thing about this is that anyone at Hunter can win a gift card. All you have to do is show up to class early and be prepared to learn.

For hall sweeps and how they work, they happen throughout the day. As soon as the bell rings someone will come on to the announcements and will let the teachers know that there will be a hall sweep, so that lets the teachers know to lock their doors as soon as the second bell rings. By then you should already be in class and ready to learn. Here at Hunter High School attendance matters and is super important.
