The school believes it is important to show our teachers some love and support for all their hard work this school year. It’s important to show appreciation for the people – that we have somewhat of a connection with every day helping us learn. As the end of the year approaches it is easy to forget all that this year had in store and how sentimental the small things have been.
Starting May 6 Hunter has made Teacher Appreciation Week. Monday, May 6th we can celebrate by writing your teachers a note about how they have helped you or impacted this year for you. Tuesday, May 7th you are suggested to bring your teachers a treat meaning their favorite snack, candy, or beverage. Wednesday, May 8th, help them prepare for next year by asking and filling what supplies they need refilled for and supplies for the classrooms. Thursday, May 9th, you can be your teacher’s ‘personal’ mascot by wearing their favorite color. Lastly and finally, on Friday, May 10th, it is promoted to bring your teachers gift cards, some ideas are a massage, their favorite restaurant, or a local store.
Remember all of these things are suggestions and not requirements, but if there is a time teachers come across your mind there are many small things you can do to show appreciation and gratitude. Enjoy the last few weeks of school.
