An obstacle that I overcame in my sport was a problem with my stamina and agility. The first time I noticed I had a problem with this was when my coach told me I needed to get my stamina up because I would gas out quickly while participating in my sport. I also noticed this when I would get tired and my opponent would not have looked so gassed out. It also felt too early in those times when I would be out of breath. I thought jogging long distances would fix this problem but it turned out I needed to do sprints so I would run more often and add a couple sprints in between them.
At first, it was hard because I wouldn’t have done sprints on my own time. While I was doing these sprints it also taught me how to be consistent and disciplined because when I felt tired I needed to keep going and ignore the idea of giving up and with consistency. I would almost do these every day. Slowly, I started to see that my stamina would get better and better. Now I would say it is decent to good, but it can always be better. There is always room for improvement.
