The Harm of Keurig Dr. Pepper and their applesauce at schools

Every day we come to school and wait for lunch to arrive so that we can have our break or eat after long class periods. The schools say that they make sure that we all have a healthy and semi-balanced lunch to get us through the day, but did you know that the cups of Mott’s Applesauce which many times they have us grab to eat aren’t as healthy as we thought, one cup of Mott’s Applesauce has nearly 4 teaspoons, 15 grams, of added sugars. That is the same amount of added sugar in a can of Hawaiian Punch. Keurig Dr. Pepper may have Mott’s Applesauce with no sugar added, but the problem is that they keep selling applesauce with a lot of sugar at schools, instead of the healthy applesauce.

One would say that Mott’s Applesauce is such a small part of our schools’ food that it won’t really cause any harm, but the diet we have now while in childhood may be the diet that we have during adulthood, and by consuming that much sugar daily it will harm us not only now but later in our lives as well. Keurig Dr Pepper has to think a little bit more about what they sell to kids at schools before more harm is done.
