An obstacle that I have overcome is a problem with my stamina and agility. The first time I noticed I had a problem with this was when my coach told me I needed to get my stamina up because I would gas out quickly while participating in my sport. I also noticed this when I would get tired and my opponent would look so gassed out it also felt too early in those times when I would be out of breath. I thought jogging long distances would fix this problem but it turned out I needed to do sprints so I would run more often and add a couple of sprints in between them.
At first, it was hard because I wouldn’t do sprints on my own time. While I was doing these sprints it also taught me how to be consistent and disciplined because when I felt tired I needed to keep going and ignore the idea of giving up consistently I would almost do these every day. Slowly I started to see that my stamina would get better and better.
Now I would say my stamina is decent to good, but it can always be better. There is always room for improvement.
