Time

The school year has gone by so fast that there are already only 4 months left of this year. This is crazy. Time goes by pretty slowly for other people, but once summer comes students will realize how fast it went by. Some people don’t even realize how fast their childhoods went by. It seems like yesterday I was in 2nd grade playing on the playground with my friends, yet now I’m a junior in high school.

It appears people with more experience from things in their lives have a different perception of time. I’ve had two brain surgeries and when I was going through them they went by so slowly. Once I got to leave it seemed like it lasted one day even though I was in the hospital for months. That’s probably when my perception of time started going fast. I also notice that some of my friends who have done more than I do, still think time goes by so slowly, There’s a saying “Time flies when you’re having fun” and it most definitely seems true. I believe it is like that because you are not worrying about leaving at all or when you’re gonna get out of there you’re having fun instead of thinking about time but then once you realize you have to go or do something, it’s like you were only with your friend or family for a little like over the summer I went to so many states and I had so much fun I was gone pretty much all summer.

Once it came time to come back to Utah it was like “It all went by so fast!” I left Utah on June 28th and came back on August 8th, and it was like I was only gone for a day. No matter what your perception of time is like you should still make the most of every experience, especially kids today addicted to their phones, social media, and makeup. They may someday wish they spent more time playing with their friends and enjoying being a child instead of watching YouTube or buying skincare they don’t need when they’re older.
