January 16, was one for the books. The First Lady of the United States gave us the honor of having her give our amazing teachers and staff a speech for teacher appreciation. The schedule was rather hectic for us students. We were not able to walk through the commons area when heading to our very last period of the day, we had both lunches combined and yet we had another 10 minutes added to our lunch break for it to be 45 minutes long. Lastly, we even had an early out day, 1:45 PM, which was something we don’t get every day.
Although we were not able to meet First Lady Jill Biden firsthand, it was still awesome how she came to give a speech at our school and give our teachers and staff the event that they deserved.
