Here at Hunter High School, we have a strong Hispanic heritage a club that showcases. It is LIA which stands for Latinos/Latinas in Action. They host events showing their heritage and do other volunteer work all over the district. But the main event they host every year is the Noche Buena dance. This is Hunter’s annual winter formal.
Like any other dance, this dance has kings and queens that get crowned. However, they get crowned differently by getting nominated by teachers for showing Hispanic excellence around the school. This dance is very important to LIA because it funds their events for the rest of the year.
The dance will be Saturday, December 16 from 6 – 9 PM in the Commons. Tickets will be sold in the Commons December 11-15, and possibly sold at the door. Come support LIA by buying a ticket, showing up, and showing out.
