Great weekend for Hunter sports

State Results for Swimming, Top 16 score.  Top 8, got medals for individual events and Top 3 for relays.  The boys ended up 6th in team scoring, but only 8 points separated the teams from 6th and 3rd place. Men’s 200 medley relay – 2nd place. Angel Nunez-Lanza, Caleb Johnson, Weston Hopkins, Wesley Elliott. In men’s 200 Freestyle one of the players named Corbin Lawes was placed, in 8th place. Another one named Weston Hopkins was placed 16th place. Then we have Men’s 50 Freestyle with Angel Nunez-Lanza being placed, 3rd place. Another player Wesley Elliott was placed, in 11th place. Women’s 100 Butterfly with one of the female players being Kalie Lam was placed, in 13th place. Men’s 100 Freestyle with Wesley Elliott, in 11th place. Men’s 500 Freestyle with Corbin Lawes, in 6th Place and Weston Hopkins in 7th place Men’s 200 Freestyle Relay 4th Place Corbin Lawes, Weston Hopkins, Wesley Elliott, Angel Nunez-Lanza. Men’s 100 Backstroke. Angel Nunez-Lanza – 1st place, 6A state champion and new Hunter High School record, 51.60). Men’s 100 Breaststroke with Kaleb Johnson, in 15th place

For Wrestling, here are some of the results of players from Hunter High, being placed 6th, Angel Granados Diaz was close to the top five being placed 6th place.  Josh Limb placed 6th as well in one of the matches. One of the players from Hunter is Neida Valle Alcantara being placed 2nd. Ka’aulani Hew-Len is as well placed 2nd in one of the matches. Jenna Olsen placed 6th in another round of wrestling.
