Is the internet bad for people

Currently, January 4, 2022, it is so easy to access the internet, whether you are using your phone, laptop, or tablet. There is no doubt that many minors and young adults use the internet every day, because of how easy it is to access the internet and search anything online easily and shortly. But there are negative things and positive things about using the internet.

One of the advantages of using the internet is that young people could use the internet for research on a subject they are doing, whether it’s for a test or for homework and their school work. This often helps teenagers learn more and widen their knowledge on a certain subject and improve their grade. Another one is where they could learn foreign languages by with friends to widen your knowledge on the foreign language you want to speak. This is also good for keeping in touch with family members and friends across the world.

On the other hand, there are also negative consequences. Some teenagers become addicted to online games and this means they are wasting too much time meaning they don’t study for schoolwork and this could have a negative effect on their grades. Their health could be heavily affected by how much time they spent on online games. In addition with how much time they spent on the internet could mean they rarely spend time with their family members.  Meaning would rather play games than spend time with their family.

To sum it up, spending time on the internet has its negative impact on people, but it also has many positive advantages on people. (Personally, I think the internet has its downs and ups because I could be spending time watching a movie on a site, or the bad things like searching how to say bad words in a certain language, yet I do think it is an incredible tool to use for something important.) Ultimately, we should be careful how much we use the internet.
