Everyone knows about Halloween but not everyone knows how it became a thing. Halloween is a holiday celebrated October 31st every year. Its a day tons and tons of people dress up in costumes and party or go trick or treating.  It’s a fun holiday but how did it come into existence?

Halloween originated with the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain. People would wear costumes and light bonfires to scare and get rid of the ghosts. It soon became Halloween but before it was known as Halloween it was called “All Hallows Eve.” They didn’t party and go trick or treating  and carve pumpkins. Over years those things were slowly being added and created the Halloween we know today.
