With COVID-19 affecting people all around the world, everyone has been told to stay indoors. Recently, more symptoms of the virus have been added, these include: chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell. With the virus spreading faster each day, and the news of new deaths or more cases confirmed leave people devastated. Everyday there is something new to wake up to. Not so long ago, President of the United States, Donald Trump made an outrageous suggestion that people should inject themselves with household disinfectants to help those with the disease. Companies such as Lysol said that by no means should their products be injected or ingested in any way. However, there have been reports of people making Lysol margaritas and injecting other disinfectants. By any means do NOT inject any type of these products, companies have made it clear that these products are not to be put inside the human body in any way. It can cause serious damage.

With times like these, people are scared of what is going to happen next. However, there are other things to help us get through it. BBC Radio 1 recently posted a video of various artists singing a small part of the Foo Fighters song “Times Like These”. Artists such as 5 Seconds Of Summer, Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa, Rita Ora, and more took part in it. It helped bring back a little light to the world right now, even though things aren’t so great. Some artists like Dua Lipa and 5 Seconds Of Summer, dropped albums during these times. Dropping music while being quarantined gave many fans the pleasure of having something new to listen to. Sadly, tours had to be postponed. Artists including Queen, Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Dua Lipa, and more had to postpone their tours due to the pandemic. It left many fans devastated, but are glad to hear some news. Recently, 5SOS tweeted, “To all of our UK and European fans…While playing our “NO SHAME” tour this year remains uncertain, what is clear is that banquet records and a number of our upcoming UK and European dates will be postponed due to the ongoing health crisis. We were so excited to play these shows and see everyone but our priority is always the safety of our fans, venue staff and touring crew. In the meantime, hold on to your tickets as we and our team are working quickly to reschedule as many shows as possible and will announce further details very shortly.” it read.

We were given the news that we would have to stay home for a while until further notice, however, some people want things to reopen and go back to normal as soon as possible. Protestors in Colorado were waving U.S flags and shouting slurs and racist comments at the men and women in medical uniforms. They were saying that businesses were overreacting, but the men and women stood their ground. With events like these, the chance of the curve flattening might not even happen. This virus is something that is taking the lives of people everyday, it is nowhere near a joke. With protests like these the spread of COVID-19 is higher. Stay home and stay safe.
