Getting closer and closer to the ACT

Carlos Whitmer, Staff Writer

Hunter has calmed down a bit since the end of the second quarter test and the beginning of some new classes and new lessons. While it may be calm right now, we are getting closer the the 4th and the ACT testing. Some kids are even taking a free ACT test on February 8. Most math and English classes have also started to help prepare their classes for their upcoming test. The ACT is separated into multiple parts for its subjects. The subjects included in the ACT are English, math and science. There are 2 English tests, 1 math test, and 1 science test. All these test also take around 4 hours in total to complete. The test is scored on a scale of 1-36 with 1 being the lowest and 36 being the highest score attainable. A good score to get is somewhere between the 20-25 but anything above that is extremely good and it will help make getting scholarships easier.
