Zion Williamson debut

Diego Garay, Staff Writer

Zion Williamson just played his first NBA game 2 days ago against the Spurs. In the beginning he looked solid, but in the second half he had this amazing stretch where he scored 17 points straight by himself. He hit 4 for 4 from downtown. This debut was well worth the hype, but he was also on minute restriction and that is why he only played for 18 minutes. He was coming off a pretty bad injury, which didn’t allow him to play for most of the season.
The Pelicans have a very bright future with their young core group consisting of Lonzo Ball, Zion Williamson, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart. This could be a championship team in a couple of years, however right now they are in the 8th seed playoff spot race. They could have won that game against the Spurs, if they had not taken Williamson out of the game but he still needs to fully recover from his injury. Yet the future looks really bright for Zion Williamson.
