There are a lot of teachers in this school that are really caring and friendly. It seems that teachers put up with a lot from teenagers, from back talking to just walking out. Students often just want someone to talk to. No one deserves to be treated poorly. Teacher want to help and get you off in the right direction for life. We should really treat our teachers with more respect than we give them. They are people just like anyone else.
There is an amazing teacher that likes to get to know each of her students and always has a smile on her face. She is amazing. Her name is Mrs. Doi. She has helped so much. But there are a lot of students that don’t treat her the nicest and are kind of not wanting to even be next to her. I have seen how much she helps people firsthand. Once while I was walking, she yelled at me to tell me to have a good break. She didn’t have to do that, and it really made me think more about this teacher. After winter break, she and I were laughing about it. I called her the crazy lady, but it was so sweet how she would be crazy for one of her students. She would have to be my favorite and I going to talk to her after school today before she leaves to ask her a couple of questions. I love just getting to know her a little better and seeing how she doing. Mrs. Doi has helped me so much and I’m very thankful for her.

I interviewed Mrs. Doi and got to talk to her about her job and some other random things. One thing I wanted to learn was what she liked about her job. Something she told me that caught my attention was she loved, as a little girl, to learn about how people did things and just was always willing to learn. I knew she was helping with things at school, and when I asked her, I found she was working on a lot. She helped with the senior dance, she is the junior class adviser, and she will help with prom. She is helping with so much. This teacher is truly amazing.
I asked her how she gets treated by her students. She answered that most of them are quite nice. She does have a few that aren’t so great. This teacher is awesome so I really don’t see why she would get treated that way. I’m glad she happy working as a teacher at Hunter even if she does have those kids who don’t see the good in her. She makes me smile every time I see her.

Another teacher that has shown nothing but kindness, would be Mrs. Caro. She helps people understand math better and be more efficient. This teacher will go over things a couple of times to make it easier on her students. She cares a lot about the things her students are learning and wants students to feel free to be confused about math. You will never learn if you don’t ask questions and try to understand what she is talking about. The last math class was hard, yet there was a lot of the class where she went above and beyond so that her students could understand. She was willing to do this for her students. She is an amazing teacher as well.
I struggle with math, but when she started to teach me, she showed what I been doing wrong. Working with me slowly, helping me learn from my mistakes, she found way to help me and her other students understand better just by going over it again. Mrs. Jordan the special ed assistant also has helped go around the class, plus helping people around the classroom. Mrs. Jordan and Mrs. Caro are a great team.
There are some amazing teachers that go above and beyond in general. They should keep doing what they do every day. I hope they do not let some students get to them because they are awesome teachers.
