Believe it or not but now days bullying still exists whether you don’t see it happening around you bullying is still going on this happens a lot on social media it probably happens more on social media then in public bullying occurs everywhere even in the highest-performing schools. In the 1530’s the word “bully” used to mean sweetheart. The word bully wasn’t always negative, it used to be known as someone that would be a good friend or buddy. But now days the word “bully” is someone who harms intimidate and treats others badly.

This isn’t just happening in schools, parks, and recreation centers. This is happening a lot on social media. When most of this bullying happens on social media it is called cyberbullying. The meaning of cyberbullying is the same meaning as bully, it’s just that when someone is cyberbullying, it is happening on social media and the bully uses an electronic to communicate with people to bully them typically by sending them messages of an intimidating or threatening nature.

Some ways to prevent bullying during school would be by teaching the kids how to respect each other or to treat others the way that they want to be treated. Show students the difference between playing around and bullying. Teach them that bullying is not good to do and just by bullying someone it can actually have consequences to it, because when you bully people or someone it damages the person that is getting bullied up to the point that they start to hurt themselves or even kill themselves because of what they struggle with. Ways to stop cyberbullying is by reaching out for help talk to someone about what is happening. Don’t answer the person that is bullying. Have evidence of what is happening and if you do not want that person to bully you, unfriend them or block them. Be careful with your social media you can have it private so that they won’t reach out to you as easy.
