Controversy with Iran

Zachary Howick, Staff Writer

For the past couple days of the year there has been a some controversy between Iran and the U.S, on the 29th of December Iran bombed a U.S embassy killing one of are men and injuring more. The U.S government then made the call to assassinate Iran’s top general Qasem Soleimani on January 3rd. Ever since then there has been some amount of tension between Iran and the U.S until last night between the hours of 4:00 p.m to 5:30 p.m Iran lunched a dozen ballistic missiles at two U.S military facilities in Iraq. Luckily there was no U.S solider that was injured or killed in this horrible act.

As of today January 8, Trump has made it clear that we want no violence between us and them, stating “The U.S is ready to embrace peace with all who seek it” making it very clear that we don’t want any other problems with any country’s. Iran seems to be stepping down as well according to Trump. So could this be the last encounter we have with Iran at least for awhile, no one knows but hopefully it never gets farther then this.
