When you consider why it is that students of color are two times more likely to get suspended than white students, one reason could be that most of the districts think that these students cause many of the problems. We also know white students who do bad stuff to (and most of them do even worse stuff) but the school or the district or or even the state doesn’t give them a harsh punishment. Sometimes they don’t even get suspended like most of us black and Latino people do. It is not good that this is happening because every student/teen should be treated evenly, no matter what.
