Winter sports have officially begun here at Hunter high for the 2019-2020 season. Tryouts for wrestling were held on November 11th, 2019, and soon after practice was held every day after school for the team to prepare for the season. Having their annual fall brawl, the wrestling team proved that they were prepared to start the season. Our wrestlers proved that they were ready for their upcoming tournament.

At the granite school district tournament our wrestlers came home proud. Kaden Sandquist, Karter Sandquist, Maxx Ashby, and Christian Rodriques all took first overall. Taygen Esplin took 2nd with Cesar Ubico in 3rd and Roman Rivera in 4th. They now prepare for their tournaments held Friday December 6th at Layton high, and Saturday December 7th with JV at alta and Varsity at Grantsville. Our boys and girls have all been working very hard for the upcoming season and we can’t wait to see whats in store for our team. Good luck wolverines!
