Hunter High’s annual musical will be performed on November 21st, 22nd, 23rd and 25th. The musical this year is called Newsies, which follows the story of Jack “Cowboy” Kelly and the many troubles he goes through. The musical is family friendly and has many scenes that can get you to laugh. Tickets for students are $7, for seniors it’s $8 and for adults it’s $9. Come and enjoy this family event that everyone can enjoy. Our students have worked so hard for the musical, so if you do come please be respectful. The musical is based on the movie directed by Kenny Ortega in 1992. The musical was first released on April 10, 1992 and was a hit at the time. The story is about a boy who sells newspapers but is later challenged after rules are passed that make it harder for him to sell newspapers. The boy and a few others form a group called “Newsies”, hence the name, and try to bend the rules. Follow them into their journey by buying tickets and coming to the musical.
