Attention all current high school seniors, the University of Utah has just sent out word of amazing opportunities for Utah residents who will be incoming freshman next year. Beginning in fall of 2020, students who are pell grant eligible and have a grade point average of 3.2 or higher will be able to receive 4 years of full tuition at the University of Utah.

I spoke with Hunter High School’s college adviser Mr. Kim and received his thoughts about this newly released information now available to high school seniors.

“Doesn’t it make you excited?” exclaimed Mr. Kim who is a proud University of Utah alumni stated in the interview.

You are eligible if you are an incoming college freshman, who is a Utah State resident with at least a 3.2 GPA, and has completed the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The University of Utah should be the first place you consider attending next fall because you qualify for 4 full years of paid tuition at University of Utah.

For continued eligibility students will need to be enrolled full time for all eight semesters and maintain at least a 3.0 GPA at the University of Utah, if the student fails to complete these qualifications they will ultimately loose the scholarship.
