Debate tournament part 2

I went to the debate tournament on October 26. It was new to me to go to this kind of event. Everyone seemed so nice and willing to help anyone in need so I felt welcome. Everyone was extremely nice and tried there hardest for all of the speeches. They had these planned out so well they were so organized and well thought out. Watching them practice there talks it was amazing to hear all the stories they can come up with so fast. Also, showed proof that their arguments where right and had proof in doing so. One thing noticeable was them giving pointers to others in the room giving them an honest option. Talking about what they love in the debate tournament how long they been in it. Generally it was a great experience. Another thing that was bought up was debaters got 3 random topics and picked one and it had to be at least 5 minutes long. Every speech was all from the heart even if they didn’t know much about the topic. This was an awesome event for me to go to. I learned a lot and had fun doing so.

Brian Dahle helped a lot during the debate tournament. Some things he helped with was helping his wife prepare food for the potato bar. He made sure everything was in place. For example the students’ schedules and where they where going to be heading to. He was not one of the judges but he should get credit for helping so much in his busy schedule.
