Utah fedex manager tangled in fraud scheme

Bountiful resident, Ryan Lee Mower a FedEx ground manager had been the highest paid FedEx employee in the state of Utah from 2008 to October of 2019. Ryan Lee Mower currently faces 51 counts for exploiting his position as manager, and has been proven to have accepted bribes from local Salt Lake City truck company owners who paid millions to secure revenue over the last ten years. He provided truck company owners with fraudulently obtained contracts, giving them increased shipments and payments. Ryan Lee Mower was issued a warrant for his arrest on October 29, 2019.

FedEx ground spokeswoman Meredith Miller spoke about the matter, indicating that the company is severely disappointed in the illegal actions Ryan Lee Mower committed and that the company is cooperating with authorities.

“FedEx Ground does not tolerate illegal activity. We expect all employees and service providers to act with the highest ethical standards.”

Alongside Ryan Lee Mower, nine others who were involved in this fraudulent scheme, have been arrested or have issued warrants for their arrest.
