Questions with Cummings

Kalissa Kennedy and Austin Jensen

The question that Mr. Cummings asked us today was, “How big of a problem is cheating at Hunter?” Our answers were almost all alike except for one. The first answer we received was that cheating is a problem because students use it to find their way out of failing a class and that most students don’t really see it as cheating, meaning they copy assignments like it’s nothing. One teacher told us that cheating is very prevalent in their class and that they try to catch it when they can. And finally, the opposing answer we were given was that very few kids cheat and that it’s not a big problem in their classroom due to the students having the opportunity to re-take tests and make-up assignments.
