Unsafe university

On October 21, 2019 a student organizational group in University of Utah will hold a meeting with the school’s president Ruth Watkins. This student association group is called, Unsafe U. The group was created to advertise their complains about campus security which quickly gained major support, after the on campus murder of Lauren Mccluskey on October 22 of 2018, just last year. The students involved in the group have shown their disagreement on how the school handled the issue.

“Unsafe U” would like to create major changes to the University including giving more information on cases and how they are being handled. Multiple students who are in the organizational group have described in detail, their own experiences regarding their issues with campus security.  The University of Utah board of faculty and administration has shown that they are more than willing to listen to suggestions on how to improve and make the school a safer place to attend.
