Have you ever thought to yourself where our water bottles go when we don’t recycle them? Well, it actually goes to the landfills, and having something recyclable go to the landfill is very bad for our environment. Why have something bad for our environment and just ban them instead. Bottled water should be banned because bottled water is made of plastic and it is not good for our environment. Some of the bottled water is ending up in the trashcan and is not getting recycled, and some of the bottled water is also ending up in the ocean and it will kill or hurt the sea animals.

First, the bottled water is made of plastic and it is not good for our environment like we have a lot of plastic in the world and it has a potential of it getting littered. plastic takes about 1000 years to break down or decompose so instead we should just get rid of it.

Second, some of the bottled water is ending up in the trashcan and is not getting recycled, some public places only have a trashcan and not a recycling meaning people are just going to throw it in the trashcan then it get taken to the landfills.

Finally, some of the bottled water is also ending up in the ocean and it will kill or hurt the sea animals. This also ties back to littering like the people that live on the coast can litter and it ends up in the ocean and the animals that live in the ocean will think the bottled water or any type of plastic is food and they’ll eat it. Then they’ll get really sick and then die. If we keep it up with the plastic bottled water usage the animals that live in the ocean will start to die off or even possible extinct.

However, others believe that bottled water is good because it is cheap and it is reusable. What we can do is create and buy more metal water bottles it is reusable and it will keep our drinks cold. So it will reduce the amount of plastic us humans are using and refillable metal water bottles are a great option.

So coming to a conclusion, we should ban bottled water because it is plastic and it is not good for our environment, some of the bottled water is ending up in the trashcan and is not getting recycled, and it will kill or hurt the sea animals. What we can do is create and buy more metal water bottles it is refillable and it will keep the temperature of the drink how you like it for example hot, cold, and warm. Also another example is that there are hydro flasks they keep our drink at the temperature we like it and it is portable.
