Learning respect for others around you

Elizabeth Poole, Staff Writer

I really think others really shouldn’t assume the gender of others, what they are known as, sexuality and/or other things that fit in that category. I’m not expecting to fix the problem, however I am just trying to help. First, you should never really assume someones gender, it could make people feel really uncomfortable if wrong. Many people feel this way in school, I know from my experience. Another reason is if someone likes or cares for someone they really shouldn’t be judged for what they think, love is love. This kind of thing happens all the time but please be careful with what you say and do. There is also other things people get picked on such as race, religion, etc. People really assume that they aren’t like most people so their generally different, we should all not feel like we’re trying to be someone else. We could be ourselves in whatever we do. I know that I can’t solve the problem completely. That’s not really what I’m getting at here, I think that everyone has there own opinions and really shouldn’t be judged for it. I want people to know what actually happens out there. One of the first things is simply ask in the most polite way as possible. Please do not assume this kinda thing they are people too who want respect. Be respectful to everyone you come across. They can really take it in the wrong way.Learn from this, if you have made mistake in the past before.
