Students end of year tests interrupted

Last Friday many third through eighth graders may have not been able to complete their end of year testing. The RISE test they were taking was interrupted and had a glitch around 10:45 causing many students to not be able to finish. The RISE test is the new replacement for the SAGE test, because they didn’t seem to have good results. The students received error notices when they attempted to submit their answers. It’s a new test that they were trying for the first time, which may have been a cause of the glitch. About 6 percent of these students in third through eighth grade were not able to complete their testing, and they are hoping to be able to retrieve their answers. These tests are very important as they are the final tests for the year, and they may determine the schools’ funding. So, hopefully they will be able to recover these answers and scores.
