Vaccinations

Chloe Koons, Staff Writer

Recently in the United States, anti-vaccination has become a trend among many people. Over many years, we had made vaccinations that have helped to get rid of, and prevent many diseases. However, there was a speculation that vaccinations can cause autism, so some people become suspicious. Although this was disproved, some people still refuse to vaccinate themselves and their children. This means that if someone enters the country with a disease, it could spread rapidly throughout the area.

Outbreaks of measles have started in places such as New York, after it had been gotten rid of many years ago. This is due to unvaccinated people coming in contact with people who carry the disease. This can be extremely dangerous and cause many illnesses and even death. However, some people are still suspicious and refuse to vaccinate their children, which can also harm vaccinated children, or children who cannot afford vaccinations.
