One person died of a gunshot wound to the abdomen and the shooter fled the scene. The shooting took place near 3030 West and 35oo South on Wednesday, January 23, 2019. The police found a young man in a parking lot nearby with the gunshot wound They rushed him to the hospital  and passed away on the way. Three people are thought to have been in the car. The police think that there was an argument in the backseat when one of the guys was hit by the shooting victim and then he was shot. The shooter fled the scene.

Officers were not able to identify the suspect by name, but they believe that he is a a male with an average build in his twenties with and a height of 5 feet and 4 inches. They also know that the suspect has a distinct tattoo the left side of his forehead. They do not think that the suspect poses a threat, but when his identity is found, they will release it to the public.
