Starting in the 1990’s the most popular interest of music was rap, pop, and urban music. We still listen to those genres but they have changed. Back in the 1990’s the biggest inspirations and the best selling artist were the Beatles, Garth Brooks and Elvis Presley.

In the years 2000-2010 different beats and flows were made allowing for new people to make music and these years was when hip-hop was really starting to blow up and what most kids in high school grew up listing to as a kid with very popular artist like Kanye West, Katy Parry, Taylor Swift and Eminem. You could say that these were the years that music was at its best.
