Best or worst?

As people, we tend to portray our best and most honorable qualities. It could be for a job interview, to make a new friend, or just a natural and every-day instinct we do. This being said, I believe that almost everyone gets to see the good in you at first.

Obviously, of course, there are the rare few that are able to see through your ‘silver platter’, so-to-speak, and see what you truly are like. Or, in more common cases, as you grow closer with a person, they will slowly reveal themselves out to you  as they become more comfortable with your presence. Being comfortable around a person plays a big factor as to how you portray yourself and act around others when said person is around. Because obviously, if you’re intimidated by someone, you wouldn’t want to be showing your weakest points off to them willingly.

In overall conclusion, I fully believe that people see the best in others. At first, at least. As you progress into relationships, rather it be friendship or something more, you undoubtedly going to see someone’s lowest. Unless you’re a complete truth-teller, then by all means, I encourage you on. Sometimes seeing the best in people isn’t always the best, but it is usually what we have to do.
