Merry Hanukkah!
The most anticipated event for March and April just ended. No celebrities came to our school to nominate someone for president in 2021, no summer break didn’t start early, and no I’m still not famous or relevant. In case you’re not the most bright person and don’t know what you’re reading, or have not gotten any recollection of what the past week or so brought, it was spring break.
Spring break lasted from March 29 to April 3, and not only commemorated a wrap-up to a term well done, but many celebrated Easter, which was on the 1st. I have a bone to pick with the school board about how long we had spring break, however. Why did we only have 4 days, 6 days if you count the weekend? It seems like other districts have half the year off, and then there’s us with practically nothing. Some college students often get up to a month off of school and here we are. My mom is in college, and only gets a week off. but still.
“But Kobe, you’re just being a spoilt little brat. They work hard and deserve it. You should be more thankful. Go drink bleach rat.”
Now we might not be on any national board censuses as of recently, and we might not get as much recognition as a school like Taylorsville High, but we’re still hard-working students that deserved more than 4 days off. It’s not even a week.
“But Kobe, maybe because we’re such hard-working students, they want us to keep a hard-working demeanour, and want us to be in school most of the time. Be thankful, and eat Tide Pods for views on YouTube.”
We are hard-working, but we should still have had a break that lasted at least a week. The district could have extended it for 2 more days. I wish they would have. Although I would not have written a ranting editorial explaining my views.
