3rd quarter progress reports

Sarah Potja, staff writer

The 3rd quarter progress reports will be given out March 2. Students be ready. Make sure all missing assignments are getting turned in and be sure to do well on tests because those do effect your grade a lot. So try hard.

“Just because these are only progress reports, it doesn’t mean you should ignore your progress report grades. It means final report cards are coming sooner than you think.”

Some students’ grades aren’t as stable as other students’ grades are.  It could be because you are missing school, being lazy and not doing and/or turning in homework consistently. Watching your grades is sort of like watching your mother’s blood pressure go up and down, depending on her mood. If you are tired, upset or you don’t really want to put in your time to do what you need to do to maintain your grades to move toward your future, then your grades will reflect that.

Check your grades every day and if you have a low grade do something about it. Don’t just wait until the last minute because the grade you have might not be what you expect. (Bring home the grades that won’t make your mother’s blood pressure go up.) As 3rd quarter’s progress report grades will be given out soon March 2, take it seriously.

If you’ve been working hard but still struggle to pass, don’t take the L [take the loss] just yet. Take this as a chance to do way [way, way] better next time. It shows your teacher that you care enough about moving forward, doing better and trying harder.
